This is a Tableau user beginners course; it is intended for anyone who is looking to work with data and is designed to help you use the main functions in Tableau.
During the course you will be able to:
Knowledge of Tableau was "built up" in a solid way, it was clear that the trainer knew how best to introduce newbies to Tableau, this made it seem very easy.
Trainer went away and found out answers to the questions we had that he didn't know.
In terms of product knowledge, he’s really knowledgeable and very open to answer questions.
I mostly was benefit from the exercises and sample cases.
It is exciting to learn a new product although it has similarity with MS Excel it is of course different in many aspects
exercises
exercices
Karthik speaks very clear and provides good examples. He tackled end-to-end things about Tableau and make sure that everyone understands the lesson.
The course outline itself is structured very well. Even those who don't have idea with the subject can still follow.
The exercises, because we can already apply what have been taught to us.
all aspect with the introduction of connecting R programming and mySQL
the flexibility and the expertise of the trainer and I got more interested in working with tableau
It is very much practice related. I was able to use Tableau right away!
The fact that Richard could interactively help us with the examples if we got stuck
Good general insight , when managed to keep up, like seeing trainer desk top at same time
Enjoyed most of content and found it very useful
Interactive - we worked along with the trainer which made it much easier to absorb the training.
What I liked the most about the course was the clear way the subject was given in which I really liked tableau.
seeing how Tableau could be used for our business and cut down on basically everything, time, effort, FTEs
It gave me a good introduction to Tableau, enough to get me started.
Hit all the topics that I wanted covered - I thought the pace was just right and top marks to the trainer, Richard, who knew his stuff and was a really nice guy :).
Showing us how to make maps in Tableau, and all their possibilities.
Very interactive & Richard was incredibly supportive and encouraging
The hands on approach which allowed us to follow in the Tableau app as the trainer was demonstrating. This made me feel like I was actually learning.
I loved the idea of working on the desktop so that Richard could see what we were doing and we could see him, however it was a bit distracting toggling between his desktop and mine. When I was working on mine while following him the writing on the screen was so small but loved the concept of working on the virtual but its a bit the dual screen capability wasn't available so we could view in full screen mode and work and participate on a full screen.
easy to follow and the trainer is attentive
the way it was delivered
More hands on exercises
I like the practicality of the training. It helps to be able to practice what is being thought (in real time).
Well paced and I liked the way its done interactively handson , rather than going thru the slides which is usually the norm. This being a reporting tool the hands on drive of the options in the tool make much easier to grasp or understand.
The interaction in the sense that we weren't sitting round listening to a lecture. The fact we were in working on the same stuff as the trainer made it much more engaging.
The details that the lecturer went into. Would have love more time.
Got a good understanding of a lot of different functions within Tableau.
Use of Dashboards
I liked the desktop where Richard could come in and help you if you were stuck on something. I also liked the fact we were able to follow along on tableau as I learn better by doing rather than just watching someone do it.
Having had a very basic knowledge of Tableau this was an excellent course for me to gain confidence in using the tool. I found the information on how to organize my data in Tableau very useful also having the opportunity to work on calculated fields allowed me to recognize of the pitfalls for when we get the invalid error.
The level of knowledge delivery was well balanced - it felt appropriate for an audience of what was essentially beginners. The material was just enough to stretch understanding with exercises to reinforce
It was great to see all the things that Tableau is capable of
Hands on practice
