Overview

CompTIA A+ is the preferred qualifying credential for technical support and IT operational roles. CompTIA A+ certified professionals are proven problem solvers. They support today’s core technologies from security to cloud to data management and more. CompTIA A+ is the industry standard for launching IT careers into today’s digital world. In order to receive the CompTIA A+ certification, you must pass two exams: Core 1 (220-1001) and Core 2 (220-1002)

Required exam A+ Core 1 (220-1101)
Number of questions: Maximum of 90
Types of questions: Multiple-choice and performance-based
Length of test: 90 minutes
Passing score 675 (on a scale of 100–900)

Recommended experience: 12 months of hands-on experience in a help desk support technician, desktop support technician,
or field service technician job role

Passing score 700 (on a scale of 100-900)
